More fests/fairs/events/etc. soon to be announced......

Here's some more photos of my latest creations....I named all my jewelry after hot men. This torquise and ice one is called the Johnny Depp. The flowery one is called Summer of Love, since I've been accused of being a hippie. :)And the silvery necklace is called the Clive Owen.

Adopt a Cat Month

If every person were to adopt (at least) one animal, it might help solve the over-population (of course, always spay/neuter).

June is Adopt a Cat Month and this photo was taken of me (bad photo, but who the hell cares) and Rocky a favorite of mine at the shelter. He had slightly crossed eyes after surviving U.R.I. (Upper Respiratory Infection--a killer illness many shelter cats get). I visited him every week and gave him so much love and attention. After many months, he finally got adopted by a nice older gent who lives alone. I miss Rocky but hope he's happy and spoiled rotten!

Art Fair

Summer in Chicago is always fun, with so much to do, so here's one more thing to add to your list: the Glenwood Arts Fest, August 25 and 26, 2007. Located in Rogers Park, Glenwood Arts Fest is a free, weekend-long event that features local artisans, open studios and live entertainment on three outdoor stages. My art buds and I will be sharing a booth so come check us out. I'll have new stuff (jewelry, new cards and who knows what else my OCD inspires me to create at 3 A.M.). Hope to see you there!

Where: The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest takes place on Chicago’s North Side, in the heart of Rogers Park, on Glenwood Ave., 6900 – 7000 North (between Farwell and Lunt) and the 1400 block of Morse Avenue, steps from the Morse Ave stop on the CTA Red Line. Outdoor fest and many art studios are handicapped accessible.

When: Friday, August 24, 2007, 6-10 p.m., kick-off in the 6900 block of N. Glenwood Ave.Saturday and Sunday, August 25-26, 2007, noon to 8 p.m. – festival (details below), 6900-7000 N. Glenwood Ave. and the 1400 block of Morse Ave.
